Interesting Day

10 January 2006 ... second day of work after a long Christmas holiday. So what do I do? Stop for a moment by the side of the road and fall off the side. The plough has created the illusion of a wide shoulder, but the right-hand 10 inches or so is just soft snow covering the cliff. Nothing to do but call the tow-truck and walk around and start shooting (photos of course.) That continued all day for some reason, as my handy little Fujifilm Finepix F11 never leaves my side.

Morning -- first thing one should do is fall into a ditch. Duh!

Morning -- while waiting for the tow-truck, I did get some nice shots of the mist in the fields.

Morning -- free at last. A very nice gentleman pulled me out with a huge tow-truck, taking great care not to damage my front end. Cost of my stupidity: $90CAD

Morning -- On a conference call, I noticed this nice pattern of slats and their reflection in the window.

Noon -- lunch at my favourite Cambodian restaurant with some friends. A discussion regarding black & white photography led me to capture this shot just to show how easy it is today. This shot comes straight from the camera. The only post processing was resize and sharpen a bit!!! What an amazing camera.

Afternoon -- finally done for the day. After meeting at another location, I walked outside to be faced with this pretty moon over the next door building. The sun was setting and just glinting off the building.

Evening -- last stop before I go home. This shot was very hard to bring back from the dead ... I underexposed at least one stop at 1600ISO (using spot metering), which would be equivalent to about 3200ISO ... deadly for image noise. But you can still read the name of the fitness club attached to the store (on the left side of the building.)
